How to say no
Do you ever feel like your mind is a fucking razor-sharp edge that is constantly being dulled? Like you are shit hot, cool, innovative, interesting, but somehow it doesn’t get let out into your business? Financial pressure makes you run towards growth, saying yes to every little opportunity. But, in the process, diluting your precious brand and dulling your own genius. Oh yes, founder, you know this feeling well.
But there is another way to grow.
Say 'no'.
An approach that seems counterintuitive; own who you are and be different. Because, fundamentally, there is only two positions a business can take with their brand; low-cost or different. If you want to be low-cost, fine. Own it, do whatever you can to squeeze more value into your product. Strong arm the suppliers, charge less.
But you are reading this because you want to be the latter. To protect your pricing, your reputation, and let that razor sharp edge out into the world.
So start cutting.
